  • If wall-mounting, ensure the chosen surface is secure and receives adequate sunlight.
  • If using the ground spike, insert it firmly into the ground, securing it in a location with direct sunlight.

2. Mounting the Solar Panel:

  • If wall-mounting, use appropriate screws and anchors to securely attach the solar panel to a stable surface.
  • If using the ground spike, insert it into the ground at a suitable angle for optimal sunlight exposure.

3. Connecting the Pump:

I have a very small pond - 65 cm circular. If I bought an SE 500 would I be right in thinking I could adjust the flow low enough to keep the spray inside the pond? If this is possible would it mean that this would use less electricity and the flow would be more consistent for longer?

Hi yes the pump has a flow control (in fact two of them), the lower the power is set, the more then the more is stored in the battery, making it more consistent in cloudier weather and longer lasting after sun down). In fact if you set it at 50% power on a sunny day the 500 will operate to midnight!

I am about to order Sunspray SE 500. Can you please confirm that this comes with some 8 mm tubing as shown on one of your pages?

Hi yes it does come with the plastic tubes as in the pictures

Does the battery back up need to be kept dry and where is the best place to site it?

Yes the battery system is completely weather proof. It needs to be sat horizontally on its base, on dry ground not prone to flooding. Then it can be left out all year round in the UK. The leads need to come out of the box horizontally for example running along the ground.

My pond is only 3.5 to 4 inches deep. Can the fountain work in this depth of water

Hi Yes the pumps are very compact, the Pump Dimensions are Length : 73 mm Width : 48 mm Height : 39 mm, so 3 to 4 inches is perfect
