Seasonal Performance and Solar Panel Orientation
Important Seasonal Considerations:
Optimal Orientation: For best performance, always face the solar panel directly south.
Summer Performance: Expect excellent performance with long operational times (6-8 hours) when facing any direction.
Winter Performance:
Significantly reduced operational times
Primarily a spring and summer product
Limited winter functionality
Panel Orientation Warnings:
North-facing: Minimal to no operation
East/West-facing: Significantly reduced run times
Winter South-facing: Still expect much lower performance compared to summer
Recommendation: For consistent winter lighting, consider using additional PIR (Passive Infrared) sensory technology.

Installing your Solar Up Down Lights is quick and straightforward. Follow these simple steps:
Choose a suitable location on your wall or fence, ensuring it receives ample sunlight.
Using the provided screw, secure it into the wall at your chosen spot.
Align the keyhole slot on the back of the light with the screw.
Slide the light down onto the screw until it is securely in place.
Important Considerations:
While south-facing orientation provides optimal performance, summer months offer generous solar charging even with less-than-ideal positioning. The solar panel can still generate sufficient charge when facing other directions during summer, providing long hours of operation. However, for maximum efficiency, always aim to face the unit south. In UK winters, it becomes critical to face the lights directly south, as the fixed solar panel angle means performance will be significantly reduced when facing any other direction. The lights will still operate on bright winter days, but expect considerably shorter illumination times compared to summer.
The Solar Up Down Lights utilize advanced solar technology to provide efficient and eco-friendly lighting for your outdoor spaces. Here’s a brief overview of how they function:
Solar Energy Capture: The built-in solar panel collects sunlight during the day and converts it into electricity.
Battery Storage: The generated energy is stored in the rechargeable battery, allowing the lights to operate after sunset.
Automatic Operation: The lights are equipped with a light sensor that detects darkness, automatically turning on at night.
Illumination: When activated, the lights emit a warm glow, enhancing the beauty of your garden, wall, or fence.
