A Guide to Getting Your Garden Ready for Spring
With the sun finally coming out here is a Guide to Getting Your Garden Ready for Spring.
Wednesday the 20th March – mark that date on your calendar because it signals the first day of Spring and hopefully an end to the extreme winter weather we have had to endure!
Many of us are guilty of neglecting our garden during the winter months but as the sun begins to peak out from behind the clouds it's time to don your wellies and your waterproof and head out into your garden. But what do you need to do to get it ready for the arrival of Spring:
1. Planning
Before you dig your tools out the shed you need to do a bit of planning. What do you want from your garden this year? Do you need more space for entertaining or do you want to focus on the aesthetics of your garden. Once you have an idea in your head of how you want your Spring garden to look you can move on to the next steps.
2. Give Your Garden a Spring Clean
Chances are your garden hasn't had much TLC over the last few months and with all the heavy rain, wind and snow your garden may have taken a bit of a beating. So the first thing to do is have a good tidy up – get rid of all the leaves that have collected on your lawn and flower beds and tidy up any hedges and bushes. Chances are your flowers will look a bit worse for wear too so get rid of any dead flowers or shrubs.
3. Additional Features
If you're looking at your garden and thinking that it looks a little dull and boring your garden may need a bit of a revamp. Perhaps your garden would benefit from a patio or decking area so you can entertain friends and family when the warmer weather arrives. Or for a truly striking look to your garden why not consider a water feature?
Here at Powerbee we sell a wide range of solar fountains that are just perfect for transforming your garden into a place of relaxation and harmony. Our solar fountains come equipped with a battery pack and are specifically designed to be used all year round.
